Northland Car Club proposed road closures

Pursuant to Schedule 10, clause 11(d) of the Local Government Act 1974, notice is given that for the purpose of the Northland Car Club Motorsport Event Series (January to April 2026), organised by Northland Car Club Inc, Whangarei District Council will, at its meeting on 18 December 2025, consider the proposal to close the following roads to ordinary vehicular traffic:

Where: Crows Nest Road, from the Paiaka Road intersection to 2km from the State Highway One intersection.

• Sunday 15 February 2026
• Period of closure: 8:00am to 5:00pm

Where: Mangapai Caves Road, from the Roundtree Road intersection to the McDonnell Road intersection.

• Sunday 15 March 2026
• Period of closure: 8:00am to 5:00pm 

Where: Sime Road, 100m from the Marsden Point Road intersection to 100m from the Te One Street intersection.

• Sunday 12 April 2026
• Period of closure: 8:00am to 5:00pm

Where: Kepa Road, complete closure.

• Sunday 12 April 2026
• Period of closure: 8:00am to 5:00pm

During the proposed periods of closure, the following provision will be made for ordinary vehicular traffic which would otherwise use the roads:

• Emergency services may use the closed roads, and residents may use the closed roads by arrangement with the organiser:
