Northland Car Club proposed road closures

Pursuant to Schedule 10, clause 11(d) of the Local Government Act 1974, notice is given that for the purpose of the Northland Car Club Motorsport Event Series (June to July 2025), organised by Northland Car Club Inc, Whangarei District Council will, at its meeting on 29 April 2025, consider the proposal to close the following roads to ordinary vehicular traffic:

Where: Rosythe Road, from 400m from the intersection of SH1 to 3km from the intersection of SH1.

• Sunday 15 June 2025
• Period of closure: 8:00am to 5:00pm

Where: Springfield Road, from 7.5km from the intersection with SH1 to the intersection of Springfield Road and Kukunui Road.

• Sunday 6 July 2025
• Period of closure: 8:00am to 5:00pm

Where: Waiwarawara Drive, from Theodore Drive to Casey Road (includes the Casey Road / Waiwarawara Drive roundabout and Theodore / Waiwarawara Drive roundabout).

• Sunday 13 July 2025
• Period of closure: 8:00am to 5:00pm

Where: Roosevelt Road, from Theodore Drive to Waiwarawara Drive.

• Sunday 13 July 2025
• Period of closure: 8:00am to 5:00pm

During the proposed periods of closure, the following provision will be made for ordinary vehicular traffic which would otherwise use the roads:

• Emergency services may use the closed road, and residents may use the closed road by arrangement with the organiser:
