Our contractor Fulton Hogan is delivering the Kaiikanui Road slip repair.
Work will begin on Wednesday 14 May and will run through until Monday 30 June 2025.
Kaiikanui Road will be closed between Mimiwhangata Road and Morepork Track at 7:00am each weekday and reopen by 6:00pm. The road will be open at night (after 6:00pm) and on the weekends.
A detour via Russell Road and Pigs Head Road (shown below) will be signposted.
Some minor works requiring stop / go traffic management and a reduced speed limit will be carried out prior to 14 May.
There are no night works planned, and activities are weather dependent.
