Hikurangi Christmas Parade temporary road closures

The Hikurangi Christmas Parade will require short-term temporary road closures.
Period of closure: Saturday 13 December 2025, from 11:00am (brief rolling closures as the parade travels the route shown below).
The parade floats will depart from Swan Avenue at 11:00am, turn left onto Valley Road, turn left and move down King Street, loop right around Church Street, Alfred Street and George Street, and then back onto King Street where they will disperse.
The Police will be in attendance and will lead the parade. They will briefly close the side roads to escort the parade safely. As soon as the parade passes by, the roads will be reopened.
