We’re installing a new guardrail at the intersection of Mill Road, Waiatawa Road and Whareora Road to help keep vehicles safely on the road. 

The project also includes small changes to traffic lanes, road marking, kerbs, footpaths and traffic islands.

There are times when footpaths in this area may be closed. At these times, alternative routes will be made available. 

Traffic controllers will be on site to assist pedestrians during work hours, and accessible routes will be made available out of normal working hours for pedestrians.

Traffic management will be set up in the area on Waiatawa Road, Millers Lane, Mill Road, Cairnfield Road and Whareora Road to facilitate the construction works. 

Subject to reasonable weather conditions, the works should be completed in March 2026.
