If applying for a contribution to your organisation’s overheads (such as wages, electricity, and insurance), it is important to provide clear context for the request and its need and benefit for the organisation.
Successful applicants will demonstrate that the need for support is in response to a change in circumstances that has created a budget shortfall – such as expected funding/income falling through or the need to increase staff hours to meet increased demand for services. It will also be beneficial to demonstrate how this funding gap will be managed in the future.
Business-as-usual applications and organisations in a strong financial position may struggle to be successful in applying to us because of the pressure on our funds. In these circumstances, nationally led funding opportunities may be a better fit.
