Community Fund

Community Fund

The Community Fund supports many different types of local initiatives benefiting the community. These can include :

  • festivals
  • workshops
  • programmes
  • facility improvements
  • minor purchases and
  • operating costs.

Amount:  Most grants average around $6,000.  The most you can apply for is $20,000.

Closing dates:

  • 2 August 2021
  • 1 November 2021
  • 1 February 2022
  • 2 May 2022.

Applying for an event

If your event is a small, community-based event and you are seeking less than $10,000, you can apply for the Community Fund.

Depending on the size and type of event you're planning, there are other funds you can apply for.

    Step 3.Assessment

    Allow 2 months for an outcome.

    Funding decisions are made by the Community Development Committee of Council.

    Step 4.Reporting back

    If you are successful in receiving funding from us, you will need to report back to us when your project is complete (projects must be completed in 12 months or an extension requested).
