Handforth Street and Weir Crescent resealing works

Our contractor will be carrying out chipseal resealing works on Handforth Street and Weir Crescent as part of the 2026 / 2027 reseal programme.

There will also be associated traffic management affecting parts of Church Street, Cockburn Street, Pah Road, Munro Street, Kaiwaka Road and Gloyn Road, Onerahi. 

Period of works: Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 November 2026, 9:30am to 2:30pm (weather permitting) 

Works include road sweeping, service protection, bitumen spraying, chip application, rolling, and post-seal sweeping. 

Traffic impacts

• Temporary speed limits of 30km/h will be in place. 
• Traffic management, stop / go controls and detours will be operating during the works. 
• Access for residents, businesses and emergency services will be maintained. 
• Motorists should expect short delays and allow extra travel time. 

Please drive with care, follow all temporary traffic management signage, and obey directions from onsite crews.
