Rates rebate widened
Changes to the thresholds mean some ratepayers who weren't eligible for a rates rebate in 2024-25 might be eligible in 2025-26. Homeowners can check their eligibility and apply for the 2025-26 rates rebate below. If you received a rebate last year, we have sent you a form for 2025-26 which you should receive by the end of July.

FREE rooftop parking in the city centre
The rooftop of the Central City Carpark Building (vehicle access from John Street) has FREE parking for up to three hours until New Year's Eve, Wednesday 31 December 2025. The building has easy access to the central city, local shopping, entertainment and the Town Basin.

Grant assessments will be limited during December and January. To receive a decision before the end of the year, please submit your application by Monday 24 November 2025. Consideration of applications will resume in February, but submissions can still be made at any time during this period.

The closedown period for LIM applications is from 20 December 2025 to 10 January 2026. Any LIM application received during this time will be deemed as received on 11 January 2026. The last date to apply and pay to receive your LIM before Christmas will be Friday 5 December 2025.

The statutory closedown period for processing alcohol licence applications is from 20 December 2025 to 15 January 2026.
