Meet Sergeant Elyse Lewis – a police dog handler and trailblazer who broke the glass ceiling by becoming the first wāhine to win the national Police Patrol Championship in 2019 with her dog, Mist. Elyse now serves as the officer in charge of the Northland Police Dog Section, continuing to lead and inspire.
