My Monitor

My Monitor is an online facility for paying for library services and fines, computer reservations and web printing.

Create an account with My Monitor to:

  • Top up your library card or kiosk tickets for printing, photocopying and scanning services.
  • Reserve time on a computer at any of our library branches.
  • Upload and submit a print job from your own device to a printer at the library.
  • Pay your library charges.

Getting started

Members of Whangarei District Libraries can use My Monitor by creating an account using their library card number and PIN.

Non library members can use My Monitor by:

  • Buying a ticket from a kiosk at any of our libraries
  • Setting up a Guest Ticket Account.

Library members

Step 1.Create a My Monitor account

Click on the button below to go to the My Monitor website

Step 2.Enter your library card number and PIN

Step 3.Tick to agree to the Terms and Conditions.

Step 4.Sign in to My Monitor


Using My Monitor

Sign in with your library card number and PIN each time you want to use My Monitor to top up your account, pay library charges, print to the library or reserve a computer.

Buy a guest ticket

If you are not a member of Whangarei District Libraries, use My Monitor to pay for photocopy and print services.

Step 1.Buy a ticket

From the kiosks at any of our libraries.

Step 2.Enter the Guest Ticket Number

To verify access to the photocopier or print from a computer, enter the number on the ticket.

Guest account

If you are not a member of Whangarei District Libraries and regularly use our printing and photocopying services, create a Guest Account.

You'll need to have a valid email address.

Step 1.Go to My Monitor website

Step 2.Click Create a Guest Account button

  • Enter your name.
  • Enter your email address and retype it in the Confirm Email Address field.
  • Tick 'I agree to the Terms and Conditions for using My Monitor.'

Step 3.Click Create Account

Step 4.An account number is created

Your unique account number is displayed on the screen and emailed to you.

Step 5.Click Continue to set up a PIN

Enter a PIN and click Set new.

Step 6.Login to your account

  • On the My Monitor website, click the Guest Ticket Number button.
  • Enter your unique Guest Ticket Number and PIN.
  • Click Sign in.

Account top up and payments

When you are logged in to My Monitor, the home account page is displayed with your My Monitor account balance, recent library services activity and current library charges.

From here you can:

  • Top Up your account.
  • Change your settings - change email address and PIN or specify if and when you want My Monitor account statements emailed to you.
  • View your activity log.
  • View statements.
  • Access the My Monitor help guide.

Top up My Monitor account

Payments are by credit card only.

To top up your account click on the green Add Value button and either select the amount you want to add or enter a dollar amount.

Click the Options button to set up email reminders to top the account up when the balance falls below a specified value.


To pay charges

Once you have topped up your My Monitor account click the red pay button, (which displays only when you do have charges owing), then tick the box or boxes next to the charges you wish to pay.
