Skinny Jump is a low-cost, flexible pre-pay internet service for people with no current broadband connection who live in the 4G coverage area. No landline, contract or credit is required.
Skinny Jump costs $5.00 for 30GB of data which can be renewed as you go with a maximum of 5 plan renewals per month. The modem and the first 30GB are free.
Skinny Jump is available for households that:
- meet the eligibility criteria and
- their homes are in a Skinny Jump coverage area.
Are you eligible?
Your household is eligible for Skinny Jump if you identify with one or more of the following groups:
- Families with children in low socio-economic communities
- People with disabilities
- Migrants and refugees with English as a second language
- Māori and Pāsifika youth
- Offenders and ex-offenders
- People living in social housing.

Sign up for a free Skinny Jump class at Whangārei Central Library.
They are held on Tuesdays at 10:00am and Thursdays at 2:00pm.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, booked classes may be cancelled at short notice.
