Whangarei District Libraries opening hours over the festive season from 15 December 2025 to 4 January 2026.
Whangārei Central Library
The library is open weekdays except for the public holidays as detailed below. Please note the earlier closing times on weekdays.
Early closing
The library will close at:
- Monday 15 December to Friday 19 December 2025
- Monday 22 December to Tuesday 23 December 2025
- Monday 29 December, Wednesday 31 December 2025.
- 4.00pm on Wednesday 24 December 2025.
Closed
- Christmas Day, Thursday 25 December 2025
- Boxing Day, Friday 26 December
- Saturday and Sunday, 26 and 27 December.
- New Year's Day, Thursday 1 January 2026
- New Year's holiday, Friday 2 January
- Saturday and Sunday, 3 and 4 January.
Normal opening hours resume Monday 5 January 2026.
No.7 Espresso Café
The café will be open Monday 28 December to Wednesday 31 December 2025.
