Te Whānanga o Aotearoa Mahuru Kōrero Kōtuitui event banner.

Nau mai, haere mai ki te kōrero ki a mātou!

Come and kōrero Māori with us!

Mahuru Māori is all about embracing te reo Māori - whether you're just starting out or already fluent. It’s a chance to use the language proudly and often throughout the month of Mahuru / September.

To mark the occasion, Te Wānanga o Aotearoa is hosting some exciting events at the library and everyone is welcome!

Café Reo

5:00pm - 6:00pm café area downstairs

Come along for a fun and relaxed hour of kōrero!

Café Reo is like speed dating - but with conversation. You’ll get to chat with others in and about te reo Māori, ask questions, share your story and learn more about the courses offered by Te Wānanga o Aotearoa.

Use the reo you know, or bring a resource to help guide your kōrero. It’s all about connection, learning and having a good time.

Guest Speakers

6:30pm - 7:30pm Te Puawānanga upstairs

Be inspired by speakers who will share their journeys with te reo Māori. Whether you're looking for motivation, insight, or just a good story, these kōrero will enrich your learning and deepen your appreciation of the language.

Everyone is welcome, whether a complete beginner or fluent. Great place to learn and meet new people!

Entry is free - kore utu
