Bill Edwards talked about the underappreciated role of the French in early European history of New Zealand.
The map of Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific was drawn by Italian cartographer Antonio Zatta in 1776 and shows the routes taken by explorers Cook, Cartaret, Wallis, Byron and Mouats.
Bill Edwards is the Northland area manager for Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga and has a wide range of interest in heritage and archaeology.
