Please look out for surface flooding, downed trees and slips, and don’t drive through flood water.

Local roads – one lane open only

• Cullen Road
• Hartnell Road
• Helmsdale Road
• Mitatai Road
• Old Parua Bay Road
• Omana Road
• Otuhi Road
• Ruarangi Road – Restricted, 4WD access only

State Highway updates

Waka Kotahi manage our national State Highway network and advise the following:

• Brynderwyn Hills open in both directions
• Dome Valley open in both directions
• State Highway 12 open
• All detours are open

Event cancellations

The following events have been cancelled due to weather:

• CommUnity After 5 - Planning to Succeed – postponed for one week, new date is Tuesday 16 May
• Waipu Placemaking – we will advise of a new date for drop-in session
• Tree planting to honour the coronation of King Charles III has been postponed until Monday 15 May 2023
