A Building Consent ensures that any building work is safe and durable.

Apply for a Code Compliance Certificate

A Code Compliance Certificate is provided when Council is satisfied on building work complies with the Building Consent.

Apply for an amendment or variation

Find out about making any minor variation or major amendment to your building consent and how to apply.

Specified intended life

Some buildings are intended to have a specified lifespan of less than 50 years - an Extension of Life can be requested for these buildings.
