From 1 February 2024, you need to put your lids, caps, bottle-tops and spray cans into your rubbish bag or wheelie bin, when new government recycling rules come in.
Producer Statements may be used as part of the design work and may also be required and stated as a condition on your Building Consent.
If these are not produced, then issue of the Code Compliance Certificate can be jeopardised.

Council is under no legal obligation to accept Producer Statements. However, it is recognised that Producer Statements are an accepted tool within the industry and, as part of a properly managed and considered process, have a part to play in confirming compliance with the Building Code and the BCA being satisfied on reasonable grounds.
The requirements for inspections will be stated in the approved documents and on the Building Consent. If there is a requirement for an inspection by a 3rd party, like an engineer for example, this will be stated on the Consent document.
