Join us for the hui

Please come along to our hui for the Tikipunga and Hikurangi Placemaking kaupapa.

We want to hear from the hau kainga and from Māori who live, work, play or learn in Tikipunga and Hikurangi.

The Hau kainga have a significant understanding of the place they are from. The placemaking plans look to capture unique local responses to issues and opportunities and to partner with local hapū and communities to guide future decision making and development opportunities.

Our District is growing and changing and with that growth comes opportunities. The Placemaking Plans are 20-30 year spatial plans for the Hikurangi and Tikipunga areas. They look to manage the growth in our District while protecting and enhancing what you value most and support Māori aspirations.
