Toi Māori Workshop

This workshop will focus on traditional art and cultural practice.

Each participant will learn and experience the Mātauranga and Tikanga around Kōwhaiwhai that specifically relates to Puanga, with the goal of creating a finished work of art to take home after being included in the exhibition.

There will be an emphasis on understanding the relationship between the art as an object and the cultural tradition/tikanga around the making and the use of the object – harvesting the natural materials, pigments etc.

Entry: $60 per person (weekend catering included). Bookings essential.
