Northland Pasifika Fusion Festival 2023

Image of event logo.

This is the biggest Pasifika event in Northland representing tagata moana in relation with tangata whenua and people of Aotearoa.

Northland Pasifika Fusion Festival represents a localised effort to reflect the pacific community who reside within the Te Tai Tokerau Districts. This platform enables us to showcase our uniqueness and similarities collectively with colour and vibrance in our culture via our arts, craft, food, song, dance and language, etc.

With host Kiribati and adoption of the theme around sustainability, climate change, zero waste and resilience we are able to draw attention to significant issues that we face as Pacific Island nations.

The interpretation of which we have stated being Adaptation: Our Responsibility and explained that “that each one doing their bit will start a process of change which in turn will encourage others to do the same! It always takes courage to make any change, but it starts with ‘one’ doing it!”
