Community Facilities Fund

The Community Facilities Fund supports the District’s multi-use community facilities with maintenance, enhancements and overhead expenses, that enable the facilities to be used by the community.

Amount: The maximum amount applicants can request is $10,000.

Closing date:  This fund is closed. We are making some changes to our funding, so check back in June 2024 for new funding dates.

Step 1.Plan and prepare

  • Start early – due to the timing of funding rounds, you should have a plan and be ready to apply about six months before you want to run your project or activity.
  • Research – read our Funding Guide to ensure you and your project meet our criteria and that this Fund is the right fit. The Guide provides helpful information on what we will fund and how to prepare your application.
  • Draft – prepare your project or activity proposal and budget.
  • Get advice – talk to the Community Funding Coordinator if you are new to applying or need advice on your application.

Step 2.Gather information

You will need to provide the following supporting information with your application:

  • your latest AGM minutes including chairperson’s and treasurer’s reports
  • your latest financial statements and evidence of income earnt from venue hire if not specified in the financial statements
  • quotes for items you are seeking funding for
  • your trust deed or constitution showing the organisation’s objects and purpose aligns with the Fund criteria (new applicants only)
  • bank deposit slip or similar (new applicants only or if details have changed)

Step 3.Apply

This fund is closed.  We are making some changes to our funding, so check back in June 2024 for new funding dates.

Step 4.Assessment

Allow two months for an outcome.

Funding decisions are made by the Community Development Committee of Council within two months of the closing date.

Step 5.Report back

If you are successful in receiving funding from us, you will need to report back to us within six months with:

  • a breakdown of how the grant was spent (including receipts)
  • photos of the work completed.
