Contact Person: Evan Cook/Helen Duncan Summary: Coastal Policy Areas introduces new objectives and policies into the Operative District Plan as part of the District Plan rolling review. The Plan Change identifies 10 distinct policy areas within the Whangarei District’s coastal environment. Each proposed policy area chapter contains objectives and policies that recognise the different issues and values specific to the area. These objectives and policies will apply when resource consents for discretionary and non-complying activities are applied for within the coastal environment.
