Notice of Proposal to Consider Disposal of Park Land

The following article appeared in the Council's Public Notices and News pages in the Whangarei Leader on
23 June 2009.
Whangarei District Council gives notice in accordance with section 138 of the Local Government Act 2002 that it will consider a proposal to dispose (or part dispose) of the following areas of land managed as parks, which currently contain the clubrooms and playing fields used by Old Boys Rugby Football Club:
- All lot 1 DP 131686 as comprised in CFR NA77A/710; and
- Part lot 3 DP 208275, being part of the land in CFR 110705 (part disposal)
Additional information about this proposal may be obtained on Council’s website (www.wdc.govt.nz) or from Whangarei District Council’s Customer Services counter at Forum North, Rust Avenue, Whangarei and also at the Hikurangi and Ruakaka Service Centres.
If you wish to make a submission on this proposal you may do so by sending a written submission to Whangarei District Council, Private Bag 9023, Whangarei 0148 (Fax: 09 438 7632) or emailed to mailroom@wdc.govt.nz no later than noon on Friday 24 July 2009. The submission must be dated, signed by you (unless emailed), and include the following information:
- Your name and postal address and telephone number and fax number (fax if applicable);
- Whether you support or oppose or are neutral to the proposal (optional);
- Your submission, with reasons;
- The decision you wish Council to make; and
- Whether you wish to be heard in support of your submission.
