International Costume Parade at the Central Library on 20 March 2010

Whangarei's Central Library will host a colourful parade of people in national costumes from all over the world on Saturday 20 March at 2:30pm.

Whangarei residents of more then 20 nationalities will wear their traditional and ethnic costumes and will be accompanied by appropriate music from each country. Artists from a variety of cultural groups will perform and entertain the audience.

Announcing the launch of the new ArtLounge at the Library with a small but splendid display of Korean artifacts from the 5th century AD Three Kingdoms Period to the demise of the Chosun Dynasty a century ago in 1910.

A cyclical - 2 monthly display celebrating each of the community pou at the Library entrance curated by the art museum.
