Pursuant to the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974, notice is hereby given that for the purposes of rally events organised by the Northland Car Club Inc, the Whangarei District Council proposes to close the following roads to ordinary vehicular traffic and pedestrians on the dates indicated:

• 20 September 2009; Rosythe Road, Waipu, from a point 400 metres from State Highway One to a point 1.5 kilometres from State Highway One.
• 4 October 2009; Doctors Hill Road, Waipu, from a point 800 metres from State Highway One to Mountfield Road.
• 8 November 2009; Morgans Road, Titoki, from Houto Road to a point 2.5 kilometres down Morgans Road.
• 22 November 2009; Crows Nest Road, Hukerenui, from a point 2.4 kilometres from State Highway One to Paiaka Road.
• 24 January 2010; Ormandy Road, Mangapai, from Purvis Road to a point 2 kilometres towards Mangapai.
• 7 February 2010; Paiawa Road, Waiotira.
• 21 February 2010; Hartnell Road, Waiotira.
• 7 March 2010; Sime and Kepa Roads, Ruakaka from a point 150 metres from Marsden Point Road to the Mighty River Power Company including all of Kepa Road.
• 28 March 2010; Ruarangi Road, Mangapai.
• 18 April 2010; Coxhead Road, Titoki, from Mangakahia Road to a point 4 kilometres south along Coxhead Road.
• 2 May 2010; Heaton Road, Hikurangi, from Mangakahia Road to a point 4 kilometres south along Heaton Road.
• 15 June 2010; Hilford Road, Waiotira, from Waiotira Road to a point 2.4 kilometres from Waiotira Road.
• 22 June 2010; Hilford Road, Waiotira, from Waiotira Road to a point 2.4 kilometres from Waiotira Road.

The roads are to be closed between 9:30am and 5:00pm.

During the period of closure the following provision will be made for ordinary vehicular traffic which would otherwise use the roads - emergency services may use the closed road(s), occupants may use the road by arrangement with the organiser - the Northland Car Club Inc, phone (09) 432 2133.

Any person objecting to this proposal is called upon to lodge notice of the objection and the grounds thereof in writing at the Whangarei District Council offices at Forum North, Rust Avenue, Whangarei, before 5 September 2009.
