Citizenship Ceremonies
Every year there are increasing numbers of migrants choosing the Whangarei district as their home and we conduct regular citizenship ceremonies during the year, hosted by the Mayor or her Deputy.
The ceremony is meaningful for migrants, who often see it as the start of their identifying as a New Zealander.
