This page contains information about our cemetery database search which allows people to search cemetery records and find information about their family and friends.

The database contains all records from Council-operated cemeteries in the city.

What the database includes

The records contained in our on-line database are for the Maunu, Kamo (Ketenikau), Onerahi, Kioreroa and Ngunguru (Cape Horn) cemeteries. There may also be incomplete records for a number of the District’s rural cemeteries but for up-to-date records please contact the individual committees as listed. Follow the link below to view the complete list.

By entering the details you know, you can get more specific information such as the full name, age, date of death, date of burial or cremation, type of burial and funeral director.


Please note that the information provided is what is considered to be a public record but some information is excluded for reasons of privacy. If you have additional information that you wish to add to our records we are always happy to do that for you.
