Direct debit is our preferred option for land and water rate payments.
Direct debits can be arranged to pay your land rates from your bank account on a weekly, fortnightly, monthly, quarterly or annual basis.
If there are any changes to your land rates, they will be adjusted automatically and notification sent to you in writing - you do not have to visit the bank to make the change.
Direct debits can be arranged to pay your water accounts from your bank account weekly, fortnightly, monthly or six monthly.
We monitor your payments and if your water direct debit is insufficient to clear the water charges every six months, we will contact you to review the amount being debited.

When there is a change in property ownership, the direct debit is automatically cancelled upon receipt of the sale notice from the solicitor.
If you sell your property and purchase a new one, you must arrange a new direct debit because the existing direct debit is linked to the property (not specifically the person) and will not be automatically transferred to your new property.
Direct debits may incur penalties if they are missed or dishonoured. You will need to make manual payments to make up any dishonoured payments.
