We provide a wide range of services to the community.
Some services are not covered by general or targeted rates. Instead Council will pass the cost of providing a service, directly to the user such as swimming at council pools. These are usually referred to as user charges.
Councils can also fix reasonable charges for a range of regulatory services, such as issuing permits and licences, and undertaking building inspections.
