Bylaw review

Council has reviewed its current Liquor Management Bylaw in accordance with legislative requirements and is proposing to make a new Bylaw.

Together with the Bylaw, Council  also sought feedback on the individual alcohol control areas that are made under the Bylaw.

Where are we at in the review process?

Consultation on the proposed Bylaw closed on 5 October 2018.

No submitters indicated that they wished to be heard, so the Hearing scheduled for 16 October 2018 has been cancelled.

Council will deliberate on the matters raised in submissions on 13 November 2018 and are scheduled to make the final Bylaw at the Council meeting on 13 December 2018.

The Bylaw will then come into force on 19 December 2018.  This page will be updated at that time.
