Population Growth Model

The growth model was developed to assist with planning for growth and infrastructural needs throughout the Whangarei district. It provides an analysis of possible growth scenarios for the household and business sectors through to 2061.
This information assists us with asset management, strategic planning and the funding of growth. The growth model is an evolving representation of the district, and is updated as new information is received.
The current version of the Growth Model was adopted by Council in September 2014.
