Council's 2012-2022 Draft Long Term Plan (LTP)
The 2012 -2022 draft Long Term Plan was adopted by Council on March 14 for public consultation. The Consultation period closed on 23 April.
What happens now?
Now that the consultation period is closed, Council staff will be processing all of the submissions recieved. If you have submitted to the draft LTP you should receive a formal acknowledgement of your submission by Friday 27 April. Please feel free to contact us if you have any queries about your submission.
Once the submissions are processed, the Councillors will be provided with copies of each submission received prior to the Council meeting to hear submitters who wish to speak to their submission. The hearings are scheduled for 15 May, continuing on 16 and 17 May if required.
Following the hearings, Council will meet to deliberate on the submissions received. This is a public meeting and is currently scheduled for 29 May. You are welcome to attend the hearing, however the public will not be able to engage in the debate.
The adoption of the final 2012-2022 Long Term Plan is currently scheduled for 27 June.
Viewing the draft LTP
The draft Plan can either be downloaded or viewed in individual sections. Council has also produced a summary of the draft Plan and this can be downloaded here also. If you would like a printed copy of the complete document, pop in to one of our Customer Service Centres or libraries. You can also phone 0800 WDC INFO and ask to have a copy posted to you.

LTCCP 2009 -2019
The District's Long Term Council Community Plan (LTCCP) for 2009-2019 was adopted on June 24th 2009. A link to the document can be found in the Resources column to the right of this page.
