Description of Application:
To construct a new marina within the ‘marina consent envelope’ area, including a 4550m² reclamation within the CMA, requiring consent for innominate activities. To establish and operate a maximum 130 berth marina consisting of a 4550m2 reclamation adjacent to Port Road accommodating a marina building (containing office and ablutions) and parking area; rock retaining wall along the eastern side of the marina basin and adjacent to existing boatshed to the south; rock armoured batter slope along the northern edge adjacent to bridge; submerged batter slopes to the east and south of marina between the marina and existing Hatea River and Limeburners Creek channels; 100-150 piles and associated floating marina piers and berths; and formed public access along the eastern edge of the reclamation as a link with the existing Hatea Loop walkway.
The application includes consent for expanded land-based disposal of dredge materials on the Bell Block (adjacent to Kissing Point Marina) derived from the construction and ongoing maintenance dredging associated with the marina.

The submission must be dated, signed by you (unless emailed),
and include the following information:
- your name, postal address, telephone number and fax number
- details of the application in respect of which you are
making the submission
- whether you support or oppose or are neutral about the
- your submission, and the reasons for it
- the decision you wish the consent authority to make
- whether you wish to be heard in support of your submission.
A copy of your submission must also be served as soon as
reasonably practicable on the applicant whose address for
service is given above.
This notice is given pursuant to Section 95A of the Resource
Management Act 1991.
