Amendments to the Control of Vehicles on Beaches Bylaw 2009

​In accordance with the requirements of section 158 of the Local Government Act 2002, Council has undertaken a review of its Vehicles on Beaches Bylaw 2009 (the Bylaw).  As a result of the review, Council proposed changes to the Bylaw and, after community consultation; Council amended the Bylaw and renamed it as the ‘Control of Vehicles on Beaches Bylaw 2009’ at the Council meeting held on 29 September 2016.  The amendments to the Bylaw come into force on 21 October 2016.

How to obtain copies of the Bylaw

Copies of the Bylaw are available in hardcopy and may be inspected at Whangarei District Council Service Centres at Forum North, Rust Avenue, Whangarei; Ruakaka Service Centre, Takutai Place, Ruakaka; Whangarei Central Library, Rust Avenue, Whangarei; Kamo Library, Kamo Road, Kamo; Onerahi Library, Commins Road, Onerahi; Tikipunga Library, Paramount Parade, Tikipunga.

This notice is given pursuant to section 157 of the Local Government Act 2002 and section 22AE of the Land Transport Act 1998.
