Whangarei District Council has adopted fees for the registration and control of dogs at the Council meeting on 30 March 2017. The followings fees apply from 1 July 2017 to 30 June 2018:
Fees for dogs registered between 1 and 31 July 2017
Standard dog $63
Neutered dog $50
Working dog $49
Registration of dangerous dog - 150% of relevant fee.
Service dogs $7
Replacement registration tag $6
First impoundment $133
Second impoundment $150
Third and subsequent impoundment $186
Sustenance fee $22/day
Fees for dogs registered from 1 August 2017 onwards
This notice is given in accordance with the requirements of section 37 of the Dog Control Act 1996
