More than 400 Whangarei District residents are soon to be surveyed about Whangarei District Council’s performance.
A selection of people living throughout the District will be telephoned and asked their opinions on services which include water supply, wastewater and solid waste management, transport and roading, parks, libraries, planning and monitoring services.
The survey will be carried out by National Research Bureau, an independent market research company that provides specialised services to Local Authorities throughout New Zealand.
“The survey is an important tool that enables Council to track its performance, identify strengths and weaknesses and set targets and goals for upcoming years,” said WDC CEO Mark Simpson.
“Surveying a representative cross-section of people through an independent group ensures impartiality and that the results are statistically viable.”
The survey will be carried out between Friday 20 May and Sunday 29 May. The results will come back to Council in August.
