Celebrating Te Matau a Pohe’s wins at the
Master Builders New Zealand Commercial
Project Awards for 2014 are, from left:

The nominated, commended or won awards include:

Master Builders Awards

The New Zealand 2014 Master Builders Commercial Project Awards taking out:

  • Gold Award for the Commercial and Civil Award.
  • National Award for the Commercial and Civil Award (overall winner).
  • National Award for the Value Award Over $15 million (overall winner).
  • Supreme Award (the ultimate award for commercial project of the year). 

Concrete Society Awards

It was also commended in the 2014 New Zealand Concrete Society Awards Infrastructure Award.

Roading New Zealand Excellence Awards

The bridge was highly commended in the Roading New Zealand Road Excellence Awards.

  • Z Excellence Award for a Major Project (greater than $25m).

Local Government New Zealand Excellence Awards​

The bridge has also recently been announced as a finalist in the inaugural Local Government New Zealand (LGNZ) EXCELLENCE Awards.  The winners will be announced in July.

International Awards

These include international awards:

  • Architizer A+ Award (Architecture and Engineering category).
  • Jury Award and a Civic Trust Award (UK).
