Fresh look for Botanica Fernery

A quick trip to the Cafler Park Rose gardens on Water Street will reveal a fresh new colour scheme that connects the arch of remembrance at the entrance and the footbridge from Cafler Park to First Avenue, with Botanica.

“A re-design of Botanica’s old signs and entrance prompted the idea to connect these elements together using colour,” said Council's Landscape Architect Tracey Moore.

Council’s Graphic Designer Sara King adapted the earlier signs, using an improved colour scheme, Fastsignz printed them, Recreational Services installed them and artist Melinda Butt repainted the bridge and archway.

Botanica’s warm tropical conservatory and arid cactus house provide some relief from the cold and wet of winter and there is no charge to visit them, or the filmy fern house.
