Council reached a mediated settlement in late 2017 associated with stormwater and wastewater pipes in Marsden City.

As part of this agreement HEB Construction will carry out further inspections that will allow confirmation of what specific pipes and manholes need to be replaced or repaired.

Council staff are currently working with HEB Construction and their consultants to agree on the best way to undertake the remediation works.

Council's Waste and Drainage Manager Andrew Carvell said he expected the works to be a mixture of limited replacement, pipe relining and spot repairs.

"Both Council and HEB Construction are committed to providing a reliable infrastructure asset that will outlast a generation."

"The works, including inspections, will be carried out over the next 18 months. During this time we anticipate some disruptions associated with traffic management. Those directly affected will be notified as required."
