Support for local employers

As an employer, you play a critical role in attracting and helping your new employee settle and live happily in Whangarei. The sooner an employee feels "at home", the sooner they contribute to the workplace and the more likely they are to stay.

You can help settle your new migrant employees, and their families, as quickly as possible.

Online Employer's Hub

In the online Employer Hub of the Immigration NZ website, you can find out about employing migrants, the visa options, and how to help your new employees settle in New Zealand.

A range of resources are available to help you recruit and retain your staff.

The 'Employer's Toolkit' can help you better understand and support your new staff.

Migrant employees come to New Zealand from a wide range of cultures and with diverse values and expectations which influence how people think and act in the workplace.

For further information about this toolkit and the Employer Hub, visit the website.
