Community Grants Seminar - 31 July 2020

Whangarei District Council offers a range of support options for not-for-profit community groups and individuals whose mahi directly benefits our community.

The Community Grants Seminar is for anyone unfamiliar with Council's grants scheme and who may need support for a community project.

The seminar will include:

  • An overview of Council’s community grants and loans
  • A walk-through of the application process
  • Tips for making a good application
  • An opportunity to ask questions.
When:
Friday 31 July 2020, 12:30pm to 1:30pm
Where:
Central Library, May Bain Room, Level 1, Rust Avenue, Whangarei

2019 Funding and Resources Workshop

The 2019 Funding and Resources Roadshow Workshop has now been.

Workshops were held from 13 to 17 May 2019

Far North District Council, Kaipara District Council and Whangarei District Council have worked together to host a series of funding and resource workshops for our communities. 

The free workshops were held at various venues on various dates.

The format was:

  • 10:00am - 11:00am: Presentations from the organisations attending. 
  • 11:00am - 2:00pm 15-minute appointment slots for you to discuss your needs. You can either pre-book your appointment, or simply show up - appointments on the day will be on a first-in, first-served basis.

  • Daniela from the Kai Ora Fund (Whangarei only)

  • Kate from Creative New Zealand (Dargaville and Whangarei only)
  • Janelle from the Creative Communities Scheme (Whangarei only)

  • Far North District Council (presenting at Kaikohe and Kaitaia only)
  • Kaipara District Council (presenting at Mangawhai and Dargaville only)
  • Whangarei District Council (presenting at Whangarei only).

We are hoping to make this an annual event and look forward to hosting again in 2020.
