The Resource Management Act (RMA) sets out the criteria for making a decision on whether a resource consent application is notified or not.
Applications are publicly notified
- if the effects of the proposal on the environment will be more than minor
- if written approvals of all those affected by the proposal aren't obtained.
This enables the community to be involved in the decision making process on applications that may affect them.
All current notified resource consent applications are listed in the table at the bottom of this page.
Submissions on notified resource consents
If you would like to make a submission on a notified resource consent application, please complete either of the submission forms by selecting from the links below.

The online submission form will be emailed to us as part of the notified resource consent process. Alternatively, you can print a submission form and post or deliver it to us.
