A submission is a written statement that explains why someone supports or opposes a resource consent application. A submitter may also take a neutral stance, but provide additional information they think we should consider in making a decision.
Written submissions can only be made on limited notified or publicly notified applications.
For further information about notified consents, follow the link below.
Making a submission
It is important that you state in your submission if you want to speak at a Council hearing in support of your submission. If you don't indicate on the form that you wish to speak, you may miss out on the opportunity.
If you would like to make a submission on a notified resource consent application, please complete either of the forms by selecting from the links below.

Submission Form (printable version) [116kb]
Submission Form (Notice of Requirement) [122kb]
The online submission form will be emailed to us as part of the notified resource consent process. Alternatively, you can use the printable version and:
- complete it by hand and post or deliver it to us, or
- complete the form on your computer and save it before attaching it to an email to us.
You are welcome to write to us with your concerns about any consents that are not publicly notified. Our planning staff will consider the relevance of the points you raise but they are under no obligation to take it further.
