 Guidelines and Standards

This page contains information about our Environmental Engineering Standards which are designed to help those who apply for resource consent, and links to the document itself.
Updated: 5/12/2011 3:00 p.m.

The Environmental Engineering Standards (EES) set out the minimum acceptable levels for engineering design and construction in the Whangarei district.

The 2010 document applies to all consents which have been applied for since 1 July 2010. It may be amended from time to time so it is important to refer to this page to ensure you have the latest available version if you do make a paper copy. It is also important, if paper copies are made, to do these in colour so that the full meaning of the various clauses is obvious.

If you wish to be notified of changes to the document as they happen, please contact us to become an official holder of the standard.

The 2007 document applies to all consents which were applied for between 1998 and 30 June 2010 and no further amendments will be made to it.

A Quality Assurance/Quality Control manual for Vested Assets is available and should be used by relevant professionals where infrastructure intended to be vested to Council is being constructed.

Documents will be regularly updated and/or made available with new material as it comes available. Input to these documents from professionals and others is welcome. Please contact us with your submissions.
