Project Information Memorandum (PIM)

The first stage is to complete an application for a PIM prior and submit it to us via email. This will incorporate quality checks as part of your Quality System.

It is important that you check the requirements of our District Plan before you submit your application.

A PIM prior will tell you whether there are any planning issues which you need to be aware of.

We will acknowledge receipt,  process the application and issue the PIM along with an invoice by emailing it to you.

Building Consent application guidance notes [256kb]

As a requirement of the scheme, you must print a full copy of the consent documentation and ensure it is kept on the building site at all times.

Building work can start once the consent has been issued, and inspections can be booked in the usual way. For further information about booking inspections, follow the link below.

The printed copy and our electronic copy are updated and maintained by the applicant or agent. The electronic copy is updated by emailing a revised copy to us at the time of application for a Code Compliance Certificate.

Code Compliance Certificate

Complete an application form for a Code Compliance Certificate (CCC) when the building work is complete.

This and any application for amendments are made on the existing forms, and will be processed using the current system until an electronic system has been developed.

Once approved, we will email the CCC to you together with an invoice for any outstanding costs, eg Development Contributions, or notification of any credit due.

For information and to download the form, follow the link below.

Costs of using the system

There is no additional charge for using this scheme and our existing fees and charges will apply.

For details of our current fees, follow the link below.
